A personal photographic series exploring femininity, skin, water, softness, strength, and emotion.
Water & Skin explores the relationship between fluidity and flesh — between vulnerability and strength.
Through intimate portraits of women immersed in water, the series questions the way we look at the body: observed, controlled, compared… and finally liberated.
Water does not judge.
It reshapes, reveals, softens.
In this space between immersion and emergence, something honest appears — beyond performance, beyond perfection.
The story behind the series
I have always felt close to water.
As a child, I believed I was a mermaid — spending hours in bathtubs and swimming pools, floating until the world disappeared. That feeling of weightlessness, of calm, never really left me.
Years later, my work as a model introduced me to another relationship with the body: a body observed, controlled, compared, shaped.
When I moved behind the camera, I wanted to look at women differently — with gentleness, curiosity, and empathy.
Water & Skin began almost by accident.
In New Zealand, I was already photographing women under the shower or immersed in pools, fascinated by the way water reshapes the body and reveals something more truthful.
Later, in Paris, sessions in bathtubs followed naturally — one encounter leading to another.
At first, these images were only for me.
A kind of visual diary.
Then a friend told me:
“These photos are too powerful to stay on your computer. You need to show them.”
And something shifted.
This exhibition became a way to share that intimate journey between fluidity and flesh, vulnerability and strength.
Presented in Paris
In March 2026, Water & Skin was presented in Paris as a photographic exhibition, bringing together selected prints from the series in an intimate gallery setting.
The exhibition became a beautiful moment of exchange around femininity, vulnerability, softness, and the way we look at the body.
Seeing these images leave the screen and exist as physical prints was an important step in my work — not only as a personal artistic project, but also as a continuation of the visual language I bring into my commissioned work.
Between art, beauty, and intimate visual storytelling
Although Water & Skin is a personal project, it reflects the same visual language I bring into selected commissioned work: softness, skin, texture, atmosphere, and emotional presence.
This approach naturally connects with beauty, wellness, hospitality, and intimate portrait projects — especially when the goal is not only to show a product or a place, but to create a feeling.
For me, the image should be beautiful, yes.
But it should also leave something behind.
Water & Skin
is available for selected exhibitions, hospitality spaces, and site-specific presentations.
The series can also evolve through new images created in dialogue with a particular place, atmosphere, or story.
